Stone walls 15mm
Para muchas de las partidas que se realizan de wargames a
15mm, se necesitan obstrucciones diversas, tanto para ocultar de la vista de
los adversarios, como para protegerse de los impactos que le envían, lo mejor
es tener una serie de muros vallas setos y similares.
Por ello, en el taller de maquetismo que estoy realizando
gratuitamente todos los viernes, de 17h a 21h, en el Centre Civic de El Coll/La
Bruguera, mientras los que vienen a aprender traen sus propios elementos a
hacer, yo voy creando una serie de obstrucciones.
Y una de ellas son los muros de piedra.
Algo muy sencillo de hacer y que se puede trabajar con ello,
obteniendo muy buenos resultados.
For many of the games that are made of 15mm

adversaries, and to protect themselves from the impacts that they send, it is

For this reason, in the model making workshop
that I am doing free every Friday, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at the Civic Center
of El Coll / La Bruguera, while those who come to learn bring their own
elements to do, I am creating a series of obstructions.
And one of them are the stone walls.
Something very simple to do and you can work
with it, obtaining very good results.

Aldea, 15 de Barcelona, en uno de los antiguos edificios de la Editorial
Bruguera.
Materiales - Materials
Los materiales que se están usando para esta obstrucción
son, por un lado las piedras de las que se utilizan para construcciones
juveniles de edificios.
The materials that are being used for this

constructions of buildings.
Este material es relativamente económico. O mejor dicho, no
caro.
Hace unos años era muy fácil encontrar bolsas con este
material.
También era muy habitual que te “regalasen” una caja de
estas construcciones, que no iban a terminar la construcción. O encontrarlas al
lado de contendores o de papeleras en la calle.
Yo tuve la gran suerte, además de encontrarme en una de
estas situación, de encontrar una juguetería que cerraba, que vendían estas
bolsas muy económicas.
He llegado a tener unos cuantos kilos de este material, pero
gracias a que he regalado, se han usado para muros en los diferentes clubs por
los que he pasado o, simplemente, han cambiado de lugar y dueño, sin previo
aviso ni por mi voluntad, he acabado teniendo una tercera parte de todo lo que tenía,
afortunadamente.
Y aún sigue siendo mucho.
This material is relatively inexpensive. Or

with this material.

I had the great luck, besides finding myself in
one of these situations, of finding a toy store that closed, that sold these
very economical bags.
I have come to have a few kilos of this
material, but thanks to that I have given away, they have been used for walls
in the different clubs that I have gone through or, simply, they have changed
place and owner, without previous notice or by my will , I ended up having a
third of everything I had, fortunately.
And it's still a lot.
Otro material que se utiliza para la construcción de estos
muros es cola blanca y listones de madera.
Cualquier listón de madera sirve, pero los linguales de
manualidades, de 15cm de largo, son perfectos.
Another material that is used for the
construction of these walls is white glue and wooden slats.
Any wooden ribbon is useful, but the 15cm long
manual linguals are perfect.
Montaje - Mounting
Las piedras, que realmente no es otra cosa que barro cocido
con tamaños irregulares, se encolan sobre la madera, poniendo uno tras otro, y
encolando también entre ellos en la parte superior, tal como haríamos con el
cemento al construir un muro de verdad para nosotros.
The stones, which really is nothing but mud
baked with irregular sizes, are glued on the wood, putting one after another,
and also glued between them at the top, just as we would with cement when
building a real wall for we.
Realmente es como usar lego, pero en vez de encajar las
piezas con los pivotes que sobresalen de ellas, se realiza con cola.
Hacer estos muros es relativamente fácil y rápido.

Las piezas de barro cocido suelen tener diferente ancho y
longitud, por lo que combinándolos entre ellos se pueden hacer muros
diferentes.
Con los linguales, la gran ventaja es poder tener muchas
piezas de la misma longitud.
The clay pieces usually have different width
and length, so by combining them between them you can make different walls.
With linguals, the great advantage is that you
can have many pieces of the same length.
Estas piezas están realizadas con diferentes colores de
barro, por lo que podemos dar una variedad cromática interesante, de cara a las
fases de pintado.

clay, so we can give an interesting chromatic variety, facing the painting
phases.
Estas piezas tienen un tamaño y altura que es más favorable
para 28mm, pero para 15mm, después de haberlos trabajado, funcionan exactamente
igual.

Si además añadimos otros elementos, como perfiles de madera
de balsa, se pueden crear construcciones que pueden dar un cierto realismo al
tablero de juego.

Para estos muros se han creado de 2 alturas de estas
piedras, en las que las miniaturas de 15mm les llega más o menos por el pecho,
por lo que también se han creado de 3 piezas en altura, que les llegan más o
menos por el cuellos de esas minis.

En las bolsas de estas piedras, no sólo vienen piezas de
diferentes tamaños, sino que de vez en cuando aparecen piezas con formas
diferentes, por lo que si las combinamos, pueden darnos una variación de muros,
muy curiosa.

Además de estas piezas, se pueden adquirir piezas de color
terracota, y finas, muy aptas para hacer tejados, que colocados en los muros,
suenen quedar visualmente muy interesantes.

Igual que usando madera de balsa con las piedras, antes se
ha visto una puerta peatonal, también podemos crear entradas o arcos para
vehículos.

En la siguiente fase, se ensañará a cerrar con argamasa la
junta entre piedras y a igualar el tono de todas las piedras, pero sin perder
los matices propios de cada una.
