Ya tenemos la estructura de los efectos de agua preparados, por olo que solo resta “pintar” el agua.

Efecto agua en movimiento - Water effect in movement

Para empezar a dar un efecto más creíble, he optado por dar un efecto de agua en movimiento.

Por ello utilizo el Gel de Efecto Agua Transparente.

Con este gel pintaremos el movimiento del agua.

En el video de Acrylicos Vallejo, se puede ver que este gel se aplica con pincel.

Y así lo hago.

Inicialmente el gel es blanco, pero una vez seco, se volverá completamente transparente.

To start giving a more credible effect, I opted to give a water effect in motion.
That's why I use the Transparent Water Effect Gel.
With this gel we will paint the movement of the water.

In the Acrylicos Vallejo video, you can see that this gel is applied with a brush.
And so I do it.

Initially the gel is white, but once dry, it will become completely transparent.

Aplico gel en forma de hondas partiendo desde los chorros de agua que ya coloqué como surtidores.

También los chorros los embadurno con el Gel.

I apply gel in the form of slings starting from the jets of water that I have placed as jets.
Also the jets I daub with the Gel.

En la parte inferior de la fuente, justo entre la columna de la fuente y los chorros, lleno de forma aleatoria con el Gel.

At the bottom of the fountain, right between the column of the fountain and the jets, filled randomly with the Gel.

Después cubro con el gel, todas las zonas de contacto de los chorros y goteos con el estanque.

Y creo las hondas de agua que surgen de los chorros.

Con la tortuga realizo un efecto de movimiento. Parece que sea algo exagerado este movimiento, pero más tarde se verá que aparente leve y justo lo que busco.

With the turtle I made a movement effect. It seems that this movement is somewhat exaggerated, but later it will be seen that it seems light and just what I look for.

Mientras estoy con el estanque, como todo el proceso de “pintado del agua” no es precisamente rápido, podemos observar que el efecto agua en los chorros empieza a transparentar.

El efecto que se observa en estos chorros, es de agua en movimiento.

While I'm with the pond, as the whole process of "painting the water" is not exactly fast, we can see that the water effect in the drips starts to become transparent.
The effect observed in these drips is from water in motion.

Efecto gotas salpicando - Effect drops splashing

Ahora voy a recrear un efecto de agua un tanto especial y, para mi gusto, que da un efecto muy realista: gotas de agua salpicando.

Now I'm going to recreate a somewhat special water effect and, for my taste, it gives a very realistic effect: drops of water splashing.

Estas gotas suelen aparecer en cuanto hacemos caer el agua desde cierta altura, por lo que la fuente tiene que llevar bastante de este efecto.

Este efecto lo explica Christian Petit en este video, de una MasterClass en Soldad de Plom de 2012, a partir del minuto 1:00:40.

Para ello utilizaré Tela de araña sintética, la que se utiliza en Halloween, y que podemos encontrar en sus fechas cercanas en prácticamente todos los establecimientos que suministren objetos para esa fiesta.

En caso de estar fuera de temporada, yo las adquiero en tiendas especializadas en disfraces.

These drops usually appear as soon as we drop the water from a certain height, so the fountain has to carry enough of this effect.

This effect is explained by Christian Petit in this video, from a MasterClass in Soldad de Plom 2012, starting at minute 1:00:40.

For this I will use synthetic spider web, which is used in Halloween, and that we can find in your nearby dates in virtually all establishments that supply objects for that party.
In case of being out of season, I buy them in stores specialized in costumes.

Cogemos un trozo y lo extendemos al máximo, hasta que esté tenso, sobre una palangana cuadrada, que previamente he pintado su interior de negro.

El motivo de pintarlo de color negro (o adquirir una palangana como esta negra), es para poder ver el trabajo que se realiza. De lo contrario, es muy difícil poder trabajar.

We take a piece and we extend it to the maximum, until it is tense, on a square basin, that previously I have painted its interior of black.
The reason to paint it black (or acquire a basin like this is black), is to see the work done. Otherwise, it is very difficult to work.

Para hacer el efecto de las gotas en la telaraña, Christian Petit dice usar una resina muy determinada, muy cara por cierto, por lo que uso la técnica que David Gómez explica también en una Masterclass, en las mismas Soldat de Plom del 2012, usando esmalte de uñas.

To make the effect of the drops in the spider web, Christian Petit says to use a very determined resin, very expensive indeed, so I use the technique that David Gómez explains also in a Masterclass, in the same Soldat de Plom of 2012, using nail polish.

Como comentario indicar que está técnica la he realizado una vez antes, por lo que todavía me queda esmalte de uñas transparente de mi última experimentación, de hace algo más de un año y medio. En esa ocasión adquirí un esmalte transparente barato, en los suministros asiáticos, y otro de marca, tres o cuatro veces más caro, en una perfumería.

En la foto, el esmalte barato a la izquierda, al cabo de este tiempo, ha amarilleado, mientras que el más caro a la derecha, sigue estando transparente.

No os arriesguéis a que vuestro trabajo, con el tiempo, sólo sirva para acabar en el “archivador redondo” (más conocido como papelera).

I do it in a systematic way, so as not to leave any piece unstained, but not with the same intensity of paint on the whole canvas, but in more sparse ligares and in others more quantity, without being predetermined.

Una vez cubierta toda la tela de araña, vuelvo a hacer una nueva pasada de pintauñas.

Once the whole spider web is covered, I go back to making a new pass of nail polish.

En esta ocasión incido en tramos que podrían ser más útiles para la maqueta.

On this occasion I will include sections that could be more useful for the model.

Aunque el esmalte de uñas seca muy rápido, he preferido esperar unas 4 ó 6 horas.

Para hacer el siguiente paso, he cortado un trozo para ir escogiendo la tela mejor que imite gotas.

Although the nail polish dries very fast, I preferred to wait for 4 or 6 hours.

To do the next step, I cut a piece to choose the best fabric that imitates drops.

Una vez he escogido un trozo de gotas, uno a uno los voy enganchando en su posición.

Esta acción puedo hacerla mediante cianocrilato, o aprovechando que el gel está todavía húmedo, enganchándolo con él.

Realmente la creación gotas con la tela de araña y el esmalte de uñas, la realicé justo antes de usar el gel, por lo que me dio para esas 4 horas de secado.

Una vez colocadas las fibras, el efecto de gotas salpicando es bien visible, aun con el gel sin estar completamente seco.

Once I have chosen a piece of drops, one by one I am hooking them in their position.
This action can be done by cyanoacrylate, or taking advantage of the fact that the gel is still wet, hooking it with it.

Actually creating drops with the spider web and nail polish, I made it just before using the gel, so it gave me for those 4 hours of drying.

Once the fibers are placed, the effect of splashing drops is very visible, even with the gel without being completely dry.

Once the gel dried, after a couple of days, I applied the foam effect to enhance the effect of water in motion, applying it on the crests of the gel.

Ya tenemos la fuente completamente seca, y el efecto se puede ver en las siguientes fotografías.
