En el anterior artículo, se dejaron preparados para pintar
los colores en sobrevestas y gualdrapas.
Y es ahora cuando se debe hacer.
Tras las primeras pruebas con el lápiz marcando las líneas
de los distintivos en banderas y otras prendas, llega el momento de pintarlo en
serio.
Tomaremos como ejemplo el abanderado de la orden de Sant
Jordi.
In the previous article, they were left ready
to paint the colors in oversold and horse cloths.
And it is now when it should be done.
After the first tests with the pencil marking
the lines of the flags on flags and other garments, it is time to paint it
seriously.
We will take as an example the flag bearer of
the order of Sant Jordi.
Lo primero que se hace es borrar las líneas de lápices y
aplicar los siguientes colores:
- Gris Plateado (Model Color 883-152) como color base de la
bandera.
- Gris Marina (Model Color 991-159) para sus sombras.
- Blanco (Model Color 951-001) para las luces.
The first thing to do is erase the pencil lines
and apply the following colors:
- Silver Grey (Model Color 883-152) as the base
color of the flag.
- Drak Sae Grey (Model Color 991-159) for your
shadows.
- White (Model Color 951-001) for the lights.
También aprovecharemos este pintado en blanco, para
aplicarlo al escudo, que llevará la misma cruz de Sant Jordi.
Se da nuevamente con lápiz, las líneas para crear la cruz
simple de la orden de Sant Jordi.
We will also take advantage of this white
painted, to apply it to the shield, which will carry the same cross of Sant
Jordi.
The lines to create the simple cross of the
order of Sant Jordi are given again in pencil.
Estas líneas me servirán como guía para pintar las líneas
rojas de la cruz, que al ser una bandera grande, queremos que queden rectas y
bien definidas.
Para poder realizar esta cruz nítida, se ha optado por
realizar las franjas a base de cintas de enmascarar de 6mm, de Vallejo.
These lines will serve as a guide to paint the
red lines of the cross, which being a large flag, we want them to be straight
and well defined.
In order to make this crisp cross, we have
chosen to make the strips based on masking tapes of 6mm, from Vallejo.
Una vez tenemos bien colocada la cinta de enmascarar para
evitar que la pintura se cuele por los bordes de la misma, se procede al
pintado de la cruz.
Primero la franja vertical.
Once the masking tape is well placed to prevent
the paint from sneaking around the edges of it, we proceed to the painting of
the cross.
First the vertical
strip.
Ante posibles defectos, ya se retocará con Gris Plateado,
primero y con Blanco, al final.
Faced with possible defects, it will be
retouched with Silver Gray, first and with White, at the end.
Haremos el mismo proceso con la franja horizontal.
We will do the same process with the horizontal
strip.
Para esta cruz de Sant Jordi en rojo, y para el resto de
distintivos también rojos, se ha utilizado:
- Rojo Mate (Model Color 957-031) como color base.
- Rojo Negro (Model Color 859-035) para las sombras.
- Naranja (Model Color 956-025) para las luces.
For this cross of Sant Jordi in red, and for
the rest of the red badges, it has been used:
- Flat Red (Model Color 957-031) as the base
color.
- Black Red (Model Color 859-035) for shadows.
- Clear Orange (Model Color 956-025) for the
lights.
No sé si es de lógica, pero creo que es pertinente decir que
aunque se esté indicando tres tonos básicos de colores (base, sombra y luz), estos
se deben mezclar entre sí para obtener los tonos más adecuados que queramos en
todo momento.
Aunque las miniaturas sean de 15mm.
I do not know if it is logical, but I think it
is pertinent to say that although three basic shades of colors (base, shadow
and light) are being indicated, these should be mixed together to obtain the
most appropriate tones that we want at all times.

Con la Bandera de Sant Jordi terminada, nos embarcamos en la
bandera del condado de Barcelona.
With the Flag of Sant Jordi finished, we embark
on the flag of the county of Barcelona.
Inicialmente trabajaremos los blancos igual que la de Sant
Jordi. Y una vez marcados los cuartos, se pinta de amarillo dos de ellas.
Para este color amarillo y para el resto de paños amarillos
que puedan tener las miniaturas, se ha usado:
- Amarillo Intenso (Model Color 915-014) como color base.
- Amarillo Dorado (Model Color 948-016) para las sombras.
- Amarillo Limón (Model Color 952-011) para sus luces.
- Amarillo Arena (Model Colro 916-009) para las luces
extremas.
Initially we will work whites just like Sant
Jordi's. And once the rooms are marked, two of them are painted yellow.
For this yellow color and for the rest of the
yellow cloths that the miniatures may have, it has been used:
- Deep Yellow (Model Color 915-014) as the base
color.
- Golden Yellow (Model Color 948-016) for
shadows.
- Lemon Yellow (Model Color 952-011) for your
lights.
- Sand Yellow (Model Colro 916-009) for extreme
lights.
Esta combinación de colores está muy bien cuando tenemos un
área más o menos grande, en especial para 28mm, por lo que para estas minis de
15mm, he aplicado Amarillo Arena sólo en las zonas más expuestas a una luz
cenital, para dar un contraste mayor.
This color combination is very good when we
have a more or less large area, especially for 28mm, so for these 15mm minis, I
have applied Sand Yellow only in the areas most exposed to zenithal light, to
give a greater contrast .
Una vez pintado de blanco y amarilla en cuartos alternos de la
bandera, se procede a pintar el rojo de la cruz de Sant Jordi y las 4 barras de
la bandera del Reino de Aragón. Pero en esta ocasión, debido al tamaño pequeño
del dibujo se ha hecho a mano.
Once painted white and yellow in alternate
rooms of the flag, we proceed to paint the red of the Sant Jordi cross and the
4 bars of the flag of the Kingdom of Aragon. But this time, due to the small
size of the drawing it has been done by hand.
La última bandera a pintar es la del Reino de las Dos Sicilias,
que se realizará exactamente igual que lo hecho con la del Condado de
Barcelona.
Las águilas imperiales se hacen con un estilógrafo del 0,05.
The last flag to be painted is that of the
Kingdom of the Two Sicilies, which will be done exactly as it was done with
that of the County of Barcelona.
Imperial eagles are made with a 0.05 stylus.
La Banderola, gallardete o como se llame el pendón que lleva
el abanderado más acorazado, se pinta con los amarillos indicados
anteriormente. El dibujo del águila del Condado de Pallars Subirà se hace con
los rojos también indicados antes. Como las águilas imperiales de la bandera de
las Dos Sicilias han costado mucho hacerla por el espesor de la punta del
estilógrafo, para estas se han realizado con pincel.
The Banner, pennant or whatever the name of the
banner bearing the most battleship flag bearer is painted with the yellows
indicated above. The eagle drawing of Pallars Subirà County is made with the
red ones also indicated above. As the imperial eagles of the flag of the Two
Sicilies have cost a lot to do it because of the thickness of the tip of the
stylus, for these they have been made with a brush.
Se aprovecha para crear un escudo con Plastic Card al que se
le engancha una impresión del escudo del Condado de Pallars Subirà.
It is used to create a shield with Plastic Card
to which an impression of the shield of the County of Pallars Subirà is
attached.
Al trompeta que sopla de lado, se le ha pintado la enseña
del Reino de Aragón en el instrumento y se aplican los colores grises para que
la sobrevesta tenga aspecto de blanco.
The trumpeter who blows on the side has been
painted the teachings of the Kingdom of Aragon on the instrument and grey colors
are applied so that the oversize looks white.
Se pinta la Flor de Lis en su espalda, para indicar que
pertenece al capitán Roger de Flor.
The Fleur de Lis is painted on its back, to
indicate that it belongs to Captain Roger de Flor.
También se le añade un escudo con el emblema de la flor de Lis.
A shield with the emblem of the fleur de Lis is
also added.
El otro trompeta se pinta la enseña de la trompeta y la
sobrevesta con los amarillos.
The other trumpeter paints the trumpet and
overlays it with the yellows.
Como este músico irá con el Conde de Urgell, se pinta la
sobrevesta con la cruz de Sant Jordi sobre amarillo como parte del emblema del
condado de Besalú.
As this musician will go with the Count of
Urgell, the oversize is painted with the Sant Jordi cross over yellow as part
of the Besalú County emblem.
Para el grupo de mando del Gran Mestre de las órdenes de
caballería, se ha pintado la capa, sobrevesta y gualdrapa en blanco, como se ha
indicado anteriormente.
For the
command group of the Gran Mestre of the cavalry orders, the coat, oversize and horse cloths
have been painted in white, as indicated above.
Y en negro con:
- Gris Oscuro (Model Color 994-166) como color base.
- Gris Negro (Model Color 862-168) para las sombras.
- Gris Verde (Model Color 866-165) para las luces.
And in black with:
- Dark Grey (Model Color 994-166) as the base
color.
- Black Grey (Model Color 862-168) for shadows.
- Grey Green (Model Color 866-165) for the
lights.
El Conde de Urgell tiene su propia identificación en la
sobrevesta y en la gualdrapa.
Se trata de una mitad amarilla con dos franjas rojas y la
otra mitad ajedrezado en amarillo y negro.
The Count of Urgell has his own identification
in the oversold and in the horse cloths.
It is a yellow half with two red stripes and
the other half yellow and black.
Para ello pintaremos ambas prendas con amarillo, según la
combinación indicada anteriormente.
For this we will paint both garments with
yellow, according to the combination indicated above.
La mitad izquierda se añaden las franjas rojas y en la mitad
derecha, el ajedrezado. Las combinaciones de ambos colores, están también
indicados más arriba.
The left half adds the red stripes and in the
right half, the checkered. The combinations of both colors are also
indicated above.
Y como punto final, se encola un escudo con los colores del
conde.
Al ajustar la impresión al escudo existente en la mini, no
queda demasiado bien. Más
adelante se ha solucionado.
And as a final point, a shield with the colors
of the count is glued.
When you adjust the print to the existing
shield on the mini, it doesn't look too good. Later it has been fixed.
Para Pere II El Grande, hijo de Jaume I, sólo se le ha añadido un
escudo hecho con Plastic Card al que le colocamos un escudo Real, de la casa
del Rey, impreso de papel.
For Pere II The Great, son of Jaume I, only a shield made with Plastic
Card has been added to which we placed a Royal shield, from the King's house,
printed on paper.
A todas las minis se le han añadido un escudo con el emblema
al condado al que pertenecen.
To all the miniatures a shield with the emblem
has been added to the county to which they belong.
Aunque al final ha cambiado todo un poco, ya que de 4
unidades de mando, han terminado siendo 9, dependiendo de la época de la que se
usará el ejército.
Although in the end everything has changed a
bit, since of 4 command units, they have ended up being 9, depending on the
time the army will be used.
