15mm stone walls - Part 5

En la primera parte de la construcción de estos muros sencillos, se indicaba como crearlos, como montarlos, a partir de piezas de barro de construcción juvenil.

En la segunda parte, se indica como texturizar y como aplicar un color neutro para igualar tonos (el lavado Sepia).

En la tercera parte se indica como aplicar el color final a las piedras.

En la cuarta parte se indica el pintado del terreno y efectos de moho.

En esta quinta y última parte toda explicar como se ha colocado la vegetación.

In the first part of the construction of these simple walls, it was indicated how to create them, how to assemble them, from clay pieces of youth construction.

Floxing Box

Tenemos los muros totalmente pintados a nuestro gusto y listos para ser utilizados en cualquier partida de 15mm, y algunos muros para las de 28mm.

Pero aún falta aplicar la vegetación, si se quiere hacer.

We have the walls completely painted to our liking and ready to be used in any 15mm wargame, and some walls for the 28mm ones.

But the vegetation still needs to be applied, if you want to do it.

Para esta ocasión se ha utilizado una herramienta nueva, nada cara respecto a sus homólogas ferroviarias (poco más de 40,- €, frente a los casi 100,- €), nada aparatosas, fácil de usar y muy útil para peanas.

Es el Floxing Box, un aparato para colocar hierba electrostática para pequeñas superficies, aunque para y escenografía es también muy apta, ya que lleva un adaptador para grandes extensiones.

For this occasion, a new tool has been used, which is inexpensive compared to its railway counterparts (just over 40, - €, compared to almost 100, - €), not cumbersome, easy to use and very useful for bases.

It is the Floxing Box, an apparatus for placing electrostatic grass for small surfaces, although for and scenery it is also very suitable, since it has an adapter for large extensions.

Esta herramienta nos la ha prestado un compañero, Pere Rabadan, pero en Pincel y Masilla teneros encargada una, si la Pandemia permite que me nos llegue desde china, claro.

Se coloca la hierba electroestática sobre la superficie metálica lisa de esta herramienta.

A la peana o pequeña pieza a colocar la vegetación se le conecta una pinza para hacer el contacto.

Sobre esta pieza previamente se habrá colocado cola blanca en la posición deseada para esta vegetación.

El sistema electroestático se cierra cuando acercamos la pieza o peana al Floxing Box, y la hierba sintética es atraída al momento por la pequeña pieza o peana.

The electrostatic grass is placed on the smooth metal surface of this tool.

A clamp is connected to the base or small piece to place the vegetation to make contact.

White glue will have been previously placed on this piece in the desired position for this vegetation.

The electrostatic system closes when we bring the piece or base closer to the Floxing Box, and the synthetic grass is instantly attracted to the small piece or base.

Por el sistema que utiliza, por su tamaño y si reducido precio, pero perfecto para los que hacemos pequeños dioramas o pintamos miniaturas.

Esta técnica la podemos compaginar con la colocación de otra vegetación, electroestática o no, pero de forma manual.

Los muros con 3 hileras de piedras en altura, pueden ser utilizados para batallas de 28mm.

Si a la hierba electrostática se le incluye otras técnicas, como musgo, el resultado merece la pena probarlo.

If electrostatic weed includes other techniques, such as moss, the result is worth trying.

Como se puede observar, se han mezclado electrostáticas de diferentes tamaños.

Esto puede hacerse de dos formas:

- Se aplica cada tamaño por separado, de la más pequeña a la más grande. Con ello se consigue dar un efecto de zonas diferenciadas, muy ordenada, que para algunas ocasiones, es muy vistoso.

- Se aplican todos los tamaños mezclados a la vez. Con ello se da una sensación muy realista, tal como lo encontraríamos realmente en la naturaleza.

Cualquiera de las dos opciones es muy válida para este tipo de trabajos.

As you can see, electrostatic of different sizes have been mixed.

This can be done in two ways:

- Each size is applied separately, from the smallest to the largest. With this, it is possible to give an effect of different areas, very orderly, which for some occasions is very attractive.

- All mixed sizes are applied at the same time. This gives a very realistic feeling, just as we would really find it in nature.

Either option is very valid for this type of work.

Muros con tejadillo - Roofed walls

Como se ha podido ver en los anteriores artículos, se han creado unos muros con tejadillo.

Aquí se puede ver como han quedado con el efecto vegetación.

As it has been seen in the previous articles, some walls with roofs have been created.

Here you can see how they have been left with the vegetation effect.

Como se puede apreciar, los muros con tres hileras de piedras, pueden ser utilizados para 28mm, como cobertura ligera o media.

As you can see, the walls with three rows of stones can be used for 28mm, as light or medium coverage.

Muros doble grosor - Double width walls

Los pocos muros de doble grosor que se han realizado, deja poca zona para trabajar la vegetación. Este mínimo espacio, si deseamos aplicar las hierbas manualmente, nos va a costar mucho (lo comento como experiencia), mientras que si se aplican con esta herramienta, el Floxing Box, el proceso es sencillo y muy rápido.

The few double-thickness walls that have been made leave little area to work the vegetation.
