Ya hemos hecho la mayoría de efectos especiales para el
Weathering.

pretanques, llevan manchas de aceites, combustible y grasa que, más por falta
de tiempo que por descuido, caracterizan la superficie de los tanques en tiempo
de guerra.
Por lo que ahora le toca el turno a los efectos de los
líquidos de los motores.

A parte de la grasa, que ya la tocaremos al final de estas
técnicas, el aceite es el elemento que más abunda sobre la superficie de los

El aceite sirve para que los elementos que están
constantemente en fricción, puedan funcionar correctamente sin que lleguen a
recalentarse. Y es una forma bastante habitual de licuarse la grasa por el
exceso de calor.
Para ello he utilizado el Efecto de Vallejo Manchas de
Aceite (Weathering Effect 813).
La forma de aplicarlo es sencillo, ya que es a base de
chorretones y manchas.
Debo imaginar donde estarían estos chorretones y goterones
en un blindado, debido al aceitado constante para que las zonas de rozadura y
se queden bloqueados.
El anillo interior y exterior de la torreta suele llevar
grasa que constantemente era realimentado por aceite para que esta no se
volviese extremadamente densa.
Otros sitios son bisagras y toda la zona de engranajes del
motor.

Quiero hacer una observación. El producto de Vallejo me ha
sorprendido porque el aceite tiene el brillo característico de este producto,
tal como se puede apreciar en las fotografías. Otros fabricantes tienen un
producto similar en esmalte que, cuando seca, se vuelve mate o casi mate.

Combustible / Fuel
Para hacer el efecto de combustible derramado, me he
planteado que las dotaciones de los tanques que estoy haciendo son muy
descuidados (no era norma general, pero así lo he decidido para estas
unidades), por lo que voy a excederme un poco, para que quede muy pronunciado
el efecto.
El combustible derramado tiene una peculiaridad; a parte de
que el combustible, como es líquido, brilla, pero cuesta mucho más en
desaparecer, si no es limpiado.
Tambien indicar que el combustible derramado, si no cae por
el movimiento del vehículo, se acumula en rincones, por lo que forma un
barrillo con el polvo de la zona, oscureciendo esa zona del combustible.
Para dar el efecto de combustible derramado en multiples
ocasione, lo primero que hago es crear un barrillo con el efecto Manchas de
Combustible (Weathering Effect 814) y el pigmento Tierra Europea (AK-042). Utilizo este pigmento, ya que es el
color tierra más claro que he encontrado. No deseo que el color del combustible
se oscurezca en exceso.
Para ello utilizo una paleta con pocillos coloco primero el
pigmento y con ayuda de una pipeta, voy añadiendo el efecto combustible. Es la
misma técnica ya explicada en el artículo anterior, para crear Suciedad Acumulada.

muy difícil eliminarlo.

Aprovechando el momento y como las rejillas no terminan de
quedar lo oscuras que a mí me gustaría, he utilizado el efecto suciedad
mecánica de AK Interactive para ello (AK -082)

Grasa / Grease
Para representar la grasa, he utilizado un producto antiguo,
que AK ha recuperado y ahora se vuelve a comercializar. Es la Mezcla de
Manchas de Aceite y Grasa de Mig
Productions (P-40).
Suelo utilizar este producto porque es espeso y brilla, como
la grasa.
Este efecto lo aplico primero en toda la zona que representa
que están los anillos de giro de la torreta.

Terminada esta fase, bien podemos dejar aquí el trabajo y ya
podemos jugar con los tanques a cualquier wargame del frente del Oeste de
Europa, como por ejemplo Normandía o Holanda.

Como se puede observar, una vez montado el tanque, los
efectos que aparentemente eran muy exagerados, quedan más acorde con el
conjunto, por lo menos visualmente.
