Cuando se juega a Napoleónico, mover muchas formaciones de cuatro plaquetas, puede acarrear varios inconvenientes: alinear correctamente la formación y el tiempo que se tarda en mover todas las unidades.

No es un problema, sino un inconveniente.

Cada vez más las plaquetas que agrupan las miniaturas son un estándar, normalmente de 40 x 15mm, por lo que cada vez más existen fabricantes que suministran bases de movimiento para agrupar cuatro plaquetas, lo que se denomina un batallón.

Pero en mi caso, como anécdota, es que un compañero de wargames ha encontrado a un proveedor que nos corta las planchas de madera como queramos, casi a precios de coste.

Eso sí, con la condición de cortar una plancha completa de metro por metro cada vez.

Una vez se le ha pedido las bases de movimiento, estas vienen con las piezas separadas y que seamos nosotros que hagamos el montaje del reborde de las bases de movimiento.

Lo bueno de cortar estas bases como uno quiere, es que el interior de la base de movimiento, que normalmente es una merma que nos cobra el fabricante, nos da para las plaquetas de todo el batallón.

Y ya sólo nos falta unir las dos piezas, base y reborde con Cianocrilato.

No es complicado engancharlas, sólo tener un poco de cuidado para que el marco del reborde quede enrasado con la base

Aunque es relativamente entretenido, ya que al trabajar con cianocrilato debemos enrasar con relativa rapidez, una vez montadas, ya son para usar en las partidas.

Por ello empiezo por imprimar todas las bases en gris.

Y las preparo para trabajarlas.

And they prepare to work them.

Una vez imprimadas, se ha aplicado Tierra Oscura (Model Air 029) con aerógrafo, para dar una base de color tierra.

Once primed, Dark Earth (Model Air 029) has been applied with an airbrush, to give an earth-colored base.

Y a añadir textura.

Para ello he aplicado cola blanca a todo el borde superior.

And to add texture.

To do this I applied white glue to the entire upper edge.

Y laterales.

And lateral.

En esta ocasión he utilizado para dar textura, arena muy fina.

On this occasion I used to give texture, very fine sand.

Esta arena la localizo en las tiendas de terrarios para animales de ambiente desertico. Ventajas: es muy fina y no tiene polvo.

This sand is located in terrarium stores for desert animals. Advantages: it is very thin and has no dust.

Aplico la arena sobre la cola puesta en el borde superior de la base

Y en los laterales.

And on the sides.

Se deja secar un rato para que quede bien fijada la arena a la base, y se expulsa el sobrante.

Let it dry for a while so that the sand is well fixed to the base, and the excess is expelled.

A cada base eliminaremos la arena que haya quedado adherida en el centro de la base, con un pincel del 4 o superior.

At each base we will remove the sand that has been stuck in the center of the base, with a brush of 4 or higher.

Y la arena no enganchada, la recuperaremos.

And the sand not hooked, we will recover it.

Con la arena ya seca, se aplica un lavado sepia diluido al 50%, para dar un poco de relieve, y oscurecer la arena.

With the sand already dry, a 50% diluted sepia wash is applied, to give a little relief, and darken the sand.

En esta ocasión, solo con el lavado sepia es suficiente, por lo que  no aplicaremos luces a esta textura.

Con el lavado bien seco, aplico el pegamento Scenic Cement por manchas.

On this occasion, only with sepia washing is enough, so we will not apply lights to this texture.

With a very dry wash, I apply the Scenic Cement glue for stains.

Y se espolvorea el microflock “Otoño”.

And the "Autumn" microflock is sprinkled.

Ya tenemos la base “vestida”.

A la mitad de las bases se ha añadido una manchas de microflock “Verano”.

In the middle of the bases a microblock stains "Summer" has been added.

Sólo resta aplicar un poco de barniz mate al conjunto y ya teneos las bases de movimiento terminadas.

It only remains to apply a bit of matt varnish to the set and you have finished the bases of movement.

Si añadimos un batallón en él, listo para ir al combate en una impecable formación.
