[15mm] Light Iberian Cavalry for Historic
Después de una semana santa densa en trabajos personales y
no de maquetismo, más que me pese, esta semana he empezado y terminado las
unidades de caballería ligera de mi ejército de íberos (Ancient Spanish), para
DBMM.
After a heavy week of personal work and not of
maquetismo, more than I regret, this week I started and finished the light
cavalry units of my army of Iberians (Ancient Spanish), for DBMM.
Para este nuevo trabajo, volveré a explicar el Paso a Paso,
en especial para el pintado de los caballos.
For this new work, I will explain the Step by
Step, especially for the painting of the horses.
CABALLOS - HORSES
La caballería Cv se imprimó en negro (surface Primer 602)
con aerógrafo, para ir algo más rápido al pintar, ya que si me dejo algún
recodo sin pintar, el negro lo disimula totalmente, por lo que para esta
caballería Lh, he vuelto a hacerlo de la misma forma.
The cavalry Cv was printed in black (surface
Primer 602) with airbrush, to go a bit faster when painting, because if I leave
some bend unpainted, black completely disguises it, so for this cavalry Lh, I
have returned to do it in the same way.
No es que me sienta orgulloso imprimando en negro, pero como
debo terminar lo antes posible mi ejército, he optado por lo fácil.

Caballo Color
Canela - Horse Color Cinnamon
Para un caballo color canela, se utiliza el Marrón Cuero (Game Color 040)
como color base.
Se añade el Al. Cam. Pardo Negro (Model Color 822-150), para
los perfilados y sombras duras.
For a tan horse, the Brown Leather (Game Color
040) is used as the base color.
The Black Brown (Model Color 822-150) is added,
for the profiled and hard shadows.
Para el resto de sombras, se utiliza el Marrón Chocolate
(Model Color 872-149), bastante diluido.
For the rest of the shades, the Chocolate Brown
(Model Color 872-149) is used, quite diluted.
El Marrón Podrido (Game Color 037) se utiliza para las luces,
en forma de veladura.
The Rotten Brown (Game Color 037) is used for
lights, in the form of glaze.
Para las marcas faciales, así como para las medias y
calcetines, se utiliza el Gris Plateado (Model Color 883-152) como color base,
y el Blanco (Model Color 951-001), para las luces.
For the facial marks, as well as for the
stockings and socks, the Silver Gray (Model Color 883-152) is used as the base
color, and the White (Model Color 951-001), for the lights.
Por último el Negro (Model Color 950-169)para los cascos,
aunque también se puede usar de nuevo el Pardo Negro.

helmets, although you can also use the Black Brown again.
Caballo Marrón
Oscuro - Dark Brown Horse
El color base para estos caballos ha sido el Marrón
Chocolate (Model Color 872-149).
The base color for these horses has been
Chocolate Brown (Model Color 872-149).
El Al. Cam. Pardo Negro (Model Color 822-150) se usa para
los perfilados y todas las sombras.
The Black Brown (Model Color 822-150) is used
for profiling and all shadows.
Para las luces, se ha usado en veladura el Tierra Mate
(Model Color 983-143).
For the lights, Matte Earth has been used in
glaze (Model Color 983-143).
Para el pelo de las crines en negro, se ha usado el Negro
(Model Color 950-169) para el color base y el Gris Oscuro (Model Color
994-166), para las luces.
For black hair, the Black (Model Color 950-169)
was used for the base color and the Dark Gray (Model Color 994-166), for the
lights.
Caballo Marrón
Claro - Light brown horse
Para los caballos marrón claro se ha procedido de forma muy
similar a los otros dos, utilizando como color base el Tierra Mate (Model Color
983-143), de nuevo el Pardo Negro (Model Color 822-150) para los perfilados y
el Marrón Chocolate (Model Color
872-149) para las luces, ligeramente rebajado.
Para las luces se ha usado una veladura con Tierra Oscura
(Model Color 874-134).
For light brown horses, we have proceeded in a
very similar way to the other two, using the Matte Earth as the base color
(Model Color 983-143), again the Black Brown (Model Color 822-150) for the
profiles and the Brown Chocolate (Model Color 872-149) for the lights, slightly
reduced.
For the lights a glaze with Dark Earth has been
used (Model Color 874-134).

Pardo Negro (Model Color 822-150) para el color base.

Ya se tienen todos los caballos pintados, ahora sólo falta
añadir los detalles.

Mantas - Blankets
La manta es la tela que se ponían antiguamente sobre el lomo
del caballo, que con los siglos se ha terminado poniendo una silla de montar.
The blanket is the fabric that was formerly
placed on the back of the horse, which over the centuries has been completed by
putting a saddle.
Como el color principal y favorito de los íberos era el
blanco con ribete en rojo, se ha optado por hacer todo el ejército con este
esquema.
Y la manta no ha esta exenta de ello.
As the main color and favorite of the Iberians
was the white with red trim, it has been decided to make the whole army with
this scheme.
And the blanket has not been exempt from it.
Para ello se ha utilizado el Gris Plateado (Model Color
883-152), para el color base.
No se ha hecho en blanco, ya que nos impediría poder aplicar
luces, y el efecto visual de este color es realmente blanco.
For this, Silver Gray (Model Color 883-152) has
been used for the base color.
It has not been made blank, since it would
prevent us from being able to apply lights, and the visual effect of this color
is really white.
Sobre este gris se ha aplicado veladura de Blanco (Model
Color 951-001).

No se aplican sombras, para dar este efecto de blanco
intenso, y se termina colocando la cenefa roja con Rojo Mate (Model Color
957-031).

Correajes - Belts
Para el color de las correas, se ha unificado todas en un
único color.
Para ello se ha usado el Rojo Cuero (Model Color 818-136)
como color base.

has been used as the base color.
Sobre este color se aplica el Lavado Sombra (Game Color Wash
203) para que aparezca una sombra sutil, pero que desde lejos haya cierto
contraste.

certain contrast.
Y con color Carne Dorada (Model Color 845-020), mezclada en
un 40% más o menos con el rojo cuero, para aplicar las luces.

Adornos - Ornaments
Algunos caballos llevan unos flecos en el pectoral y unas
piezas metálicas en la cabeza.
Para ello se ha optado también por unificarlas.
Los flecos pueden ir desde el color rojo intenso (como en
nuestro caso), pasando por todos los colores básicos (amarillo, azul, violeta,
verde, rosa, violeta, lila,…).
Some horses have fringes on the chest and metal
pieces on the head.

(as in our case), going through all the basic colors (yellow, blue, violet,
green, pink, violet, purple, ...).
Para los flecos de adornos de nuestros caballos, se ha usado
como base el Rojo Mate (Model Color 957-031)
Para las sombras se aplica de nuevo el Lavado Sombra (Game
Color Wash 203) y para darle unas ligeras luces, se usa el Naranja (Model Color
956-025).

Con los adornos metálicos se ha procedido de la misma forma,
creando todos estos adornos como dorados.
Para el color base del adorno dorado se ha utilizado el
Dorado Glorioso (Game Color 056) y, para las luces de estos, el Dorado Pulido
(Game Color 055).
With the metallic ornaments, we have proceeded
in the same way, creating all these ornaments as gold.
For the base color of the gold ornament, the
Glorious Gold has been used (Game Color 056) and, for the lights of these, the
Polished Gold (Game Color 055).
Para todos los bocados del caballo se ha usado el Acero
Engrasado (Model Color 865-177) y el Aluminio (Model Air 062) para sus luces.

Oiled Steel (Model Color 865-177) and the Aluminum (Model Air 062) for its
lights.
JINETES - RIDERS
Aunque los jinetes ya se hizo un paso a paso en un artículo
anterior, se ha optado por volver a hacerlo.

Piel – Skin
Para la piel del soldado se ha utilizado el Carne Dorada
(Model Color 845-020) como color base.
For the skin of the soldier, Sumny Skin Tone
(Model Color 845-020) has been used as the base color.
Se ha optado por este tono de piel intermedio, ya que se
oscurecerá al aplicar el lavado.
Esto es debido a que debemos tener en cuenta el factor de
reducción de escala, ya que si pongo el color Carne Medio, sobre una mini
pequeña, color perfecto para miniaturas de 28mm o superior, a la distancia en
la que se ponen las minis en las partidas, da la sensación de haber pintado un
hindú o un mulato, incluso antes de aplicar el lavado de sombra.
This intermediate skin tone has been chosen,

pliegues de codos, dedos, ojos, boca,…
After Sumny Skin Tone, the Skin Wash (Game
Color 204) is applied. This color is applied on top of the Sumny Skin Tone,
getting the base color to darken and causing the reddish flesh tone to
accumulate in the folds of the elbows, fingers, eyes, mouth, ...
La diferencia entre aplicar este lavado y no aplicarlo se ve
en la siguiente foto.

Con el lavado seco, se aplica de nuevo el Carne Dorada
diluida (sin llegar a ser una veladura), para las luces.
With the dry wash, the diluted Sumny Skin Tone (without becoming a glaze) is applied again, for the lights.
Túnica - Tunic
La túnica íbera por excelencia es la blanca con cenefa roja.
Aunque cada tribu tenía sus propios colores, también podía
encontrarse variedad de vestimenta y colores, en especial en poblaciones con mestizaje
y cerca de otras civilizaciones, como los celtas y los romanos.
Como se ha indicado anteriormente, se ha decidido que para
este ejército la uniformidad será de túnica blanca con cenefa roja.
The Iberian tunic par excellence is white with
red border.
Although each tribe had its own colors, a
variety of clothing and colors could also be found, especially in populations
with miscegenation and near other civilizations, such as the Celts and the
Romans.
As indicated above, it has been decided that
for this army the uniformity will be of white tunic with red border.
Para el color base de la túnica se han utilizado los mismos
que para la manta del caballo.
El Gris Plateado (Model Color 883-152) para el color base.

El Gris Marina (Model Color 991-159)para las sombras. En la
manta no se ha utilizado color para sombra alguna.

El Blanco (Model Color 951-001), casi a modo de veladura,
para las luces.
The White (Model Color 951-001), almost as a
glaze, for the lights.
El Rojo Mate (Model Color 957-031), como el color de la
cenefa en borde inferior y en mangas.
Matte Red (Model Color 957-031), as the color
of the border at the lower edge and sleeves.
Capas - Layers
Para todos los “mandos” de este ejército, se ha decidido que
las capas serán rojas con cenefa blanca. Este color era el habitual
históricamente para los mandos y otros con cierto poder adquisitivo. Supongo
que el color rojo era síntoma de status por la dificultad de su obtención.
For all the "commanders" of this
army, it has been decided that the layers will be red with white valance. This
color was the usual one for the controls and others with a certain purchasing
power. I guess the color red was a symptom of status due to the difficulty of
obtaining it.
En las capas se ha aplicado:
Rojo Mate (Model Color 957-031) como color base; Rojo
Tostado (Model Color 814-034), para las sombras; y el Naranja (Model Color
956-25), para las luces.

Pantalones - Pants
Hay figuras con pantalones, que no se pintarán al estilo
Celta, pero si con colores vistosos.

Con el pantalón verde se ha utilizado el Oliva Amarillo
(Model Color 892-087) como color base, para luego aplicar el Verde Negro (Model
Color 980-100) para las sombras. Las luces se aplican con el color Verde Oliva
(MC967-082), Casi como si fuese una veladura.

Ya tenemos pintado el caballo por completo y la indumentaria
del jinete.

Madera - Wood
La madera a pintar serán los palos de las lanzas y
jabalinas, el interior de los escudos, y la funda de la falcata.
Para el color base se utiliza el Madera Vieja (Panzer Aces
310) y para las sombras, el Lavado Sombra (Games Color Wash 203).
No se usa ningún otro color para las luces.
The wood to be painted will be the sticks of
the spears and javelins, the interior of the shields, and the falcata cover.
For the base color Old Wood (Panzer Aces 310)

Escudos - Shields
Para los escudos se han utilizado un buen número de colores.

Indicar todos los colores utilizados es muy extenso. Lo apropiado
es usar el color que podamos tener a mano y envejecer con Lavado Sombra (Game
Color Wash 203).

Metales - Metals
Para todos los metales que lleva el jinete, se han
utilizado:
Bronce Pulido (Game Color 058), para el protectod de la mano

Cueros - Leather
Para el tratamiento de los cinturones y correas de
protectores pectorales, se ha vuelto a usar la misma combinación que para los
correajes de los caballos.
El Cuero Rojo (Model Color 818-136), como color base.
Después se aplica el Lavado Sombra (Game Color Wash 203)
para las sombras.
Y por último el Carne Dorada (Model Color 845-020) mezclado
al 40% más o menos con el Cuero Rojo.
