Hedges 15mm
En los anteriores artículos, se ha indicado que estoy
creando obstrucciones para partidas de miniaturas a escala de 15mm.
Se ha realizado un primer
grupo de muros de piedra, otro segundo
grupo de muros de piedras, pero hechos de pórex, y ahora le toca el turno a
setos.
Mientras el primer grupo es bastante trabajoso y su efecto
visual es bueno, en especial para escalas superiores a 15mm o a distancia, el
segundo grupo, el pórex grabado con el rodillo con textura de piedra, tiene un
resultado visual mucho más interesante.
Y ahora le toca el turno a la realización de unas vallas sumamente
sencillas y económicas: los setos.
In the previous articles, it has been indicated
that I am creating obstructions for miniature games at 15mm scale.
A first
group of stone walls has been made, another second
group of stone walls, but made of stone, and now it is the turn of hedges.
While the first group is quite laborious and
its visual effect is good, especially for scales over 15mm or distance, the second
group, the stone engraved with the roller with stone texture, has a much more
interesting visual result.
And now it is the turn to the realization of
very simple and economic fences: the hedges.
Estos setos los realizo con estropajo verde, del que usaban
nuestras madres y abuelas, que son muy sencillas de encontrar, tanto en
supermercados, como en tiendas de suministros asiáticos.
These hedges are made with green scrub, which
used our mothers and grandmothers, which are very easy to find, both in
supermarkets, as well as in Asian supply stores.
Para este trabajo he estado usando dos tipos de estropajos:
uno de color verde césped, de una marca ultra conocida, adquirida en un súper a
un precio asequible, y otro de verde oscuro, a menos de mitad de precio, adquirida
en la tienda de suministros asiáticos.
Cualquiera de los dos productos viene en bolsa con 4 ó 5
láminas de este material. Y con una lámina de cualquiera de cada uno de los dos
productos, tenemos más que de sobra para las piezas realizadas y un 50% más. Por
ello digo que es muy económico.
La diferencia de ambas, de momento, es que la oscura es fácil
de cortar con cúter y tijera, no deshilachándose, a menos que tires un poco de
ella (que lo hago para aparentar ramas algo más creciditas) y la verde césped cuesta
cortarse; no es por su dureza, sino que se deshilacha y de escapa de la cizalla
de la tijera y son el cúter se deshace, y tendremos que retocar con las
tijeras. Evidentemente a la hora de
usarlo para limpiar la vajilla el verde césped es mucho mejor y duradero, pero
para nuestros menesteres de escenografía, lo caro es muy caro.
For this work I have been using two types of
scouring pads: one of green color, of an ultra well-known brand, acquired in a
super at an affordable price, and another of dark green, at less than half
price, acquired in the store of Asian supplies.
Either of the two products comes in a bag with
4 or 5 sheets of this material. And with a sheet of any of each of the two
products, we have more than enough for the pieces made and 50% more. That's
why I say it's very economical.
The difference of both, at the moment, is that
the dark one is easy to cut with a cutter and scissors, not fraying, unless you
throw a bit of it (which I do to look more mature branches) and the green grass
is difficult to cut; it is not because of its hardness, but it frays and
escapes from the shear of the scissors and the cutter is undone, and we will
have to touch up with the scissors. Obviously when using it to clean the dishes
the green grass is much better and durable, but for our set design, the
expensive is very expensive.
Con el estropajo corto tiras de 10mm de altura y voy enganchándolas
sobre los soportes de madera, con cianocrilato.
Así de sencillo.
Aunque aparentemente sea más adecuada la cola blanca, ya que
podríamos decir que el material es muy poroso, lo cierto es que es una especia
de tejido entramado (o enmarañado, mejor dicho), con material plástico, por lo
que la cola blanca no funciona demasiado bien con el estropajo. Por eso utilizo
para este material el ciano.
With the scourer short strips of 10mm in height
and I am hooking them on the wooden supports, with cyanoacrylate.
As simple as that.
Although white tail seems to be more
appropriate, since we could say that the material is very porous, the truth is
that it is a kind of woven fabric (or entangled, better said), with plastic
material, so the white tail does not work Too good with the scourer. That's
why I use cyan for this material.
Más adelante se aplicará pinturas verdes para dar luces y
cambios de tonalidades a los setos.
Later, green paints will be applied to give
light and shade changes to the hedges.
Además de colocar las tiras de estropajo sobre el soporte,
este tipo de obstrucción permite poder añadir diferentes elementos para
conferirles un poco más de variedad.
In addition to placing the strips of scourer on
the support, this type of obstruction allows you to add different elements to
give them a little more variety.
Añadir una puerta de madera, ofrece una posibilidad
interesante.
Adding a wooden door offers an interesting
possibility.
O sólo los marcos de una antigua puerta, desaparecida hace
ya tiempo.
Or just the frames of an old door, gone long
ago.
Los setos deben ser de una altura algo inferior a las minis,
ya que deben cubrir solo para la vista del enemigo.
The hedges must be of a height somewhat lower
than the minis, since they must cover only for the sight of the enemy.
Si deshilachamos con unas pinzas, un palillo, o simplemente
con las uñas, el efecto de planta es muy creíble.
If it frays with tweezers, a toothpick, or
simply with the nails, the effect of the plant is very credible.
A algún seto le podemos hacer “bocados” en el estropajo, que
ya pintaremos con colores más ocres, a modo de planta secándose, o mal cuidada.
To some hedge we can make "morsels"
in the scourer, which we will paint with more ocher colors, as a plant drying,
or poorly maintained.
Otra puerta la podemos hacer a modo de zona aplastada por
vehículos.
Este no sólo debe hacerse con un cortado y posicionado especial
del seto, sino que se deberá trabajar un poco diferente el suelo con pinturas.
Eso ya lo veremos más adelante, en otro artículo.
Another door can be made as a zone crushed by
vehicles.
This should not only be done with a special cut
and positioned hedge, but you should work a little different the floor with

Una vez se tienen los setos montados (que por cierto, aún
tengo que realizar otra tanda de otras 20 piezas más), se añade la tierra como
se indicó en el primer
artículo.

added as indicated in the first
article.
Y así quedan las piezas, a falta de pintar.
And so the pieces are left, in the absence of
painting.
