IRIGINALS Store 1/12
Hace ya un año, en la feria de miniaturas de marzo del año
pasado, mi pareja decidió comprar la tienda esquinera de Iriginals, a nuestra
buena amiga de EVOLVE.
A year ago, at the miniatures fair in March
last year, my partner decided to buy the Iriginals corner store, from our good
friend EVOLVE.
La caja no es muy grande, y el precio, tampoco.
Acostumbrado a comprar y montar edificios para wargames, y
adquirir otros elementos en cortador Láser a medida, me sorprendió mucho que las
piezas vinieran todas sueltas, destroqueladas.
The box is not very large, and the price,
either.
Used to buying and assembling buildings for
wargames, and acquiring other elements in a custom Laser cutter, I was very
surprised that the pieces came all loose, shattered.
Las instrucciones de montaje son demasiado escuetas, sin
pasos intermedios de montaje, y no respondía a ninguna posible duda que surge durante
el montaje inicial.
Por ello mi pareja me pidió la ayuda para el montaje y
posteriores acabados.
Bueno… realmente “le supliqué” poder montarlo yo.
Ante la única duda que surge en el montaje, sólo se debe no
correr y comprobar dos veces que la pieza escogida es la correcta para la
posición, y que no la estamos colocando del revés o girada.
De todo el montaje, el único momento que puede dar algo de
dificultad es al colocar las paredes, ya que se deben colocar las cuatro piezas
grandes a la vez (la de la puerta no es relevante en esta fase), de lo
contrario es complicado que se puedan quedar en su posición, ya que ninguna de
ellas lleva anclaje alguno para unirse lateralmente y debe ser encolada entre
las dos contiguas.
The assembly instructions are too concise,
without intermediate assembly steps, and did not answer any possible doubt that
arises during the initial assembly.
That is why my partner asked me for help with
assembly and subsequent finishes.
Well ... really "I begged" to ride it
myself.
When faced with the only doubt that arises in
the assembly, it is only necessary not to run and double check that the chosen
piece is correct for the position, and that we are not placing it upside down
or turned.
Of all the assembly, the only moment that can
give some difficulty is when placing the walls, since the four large pieces
must be placed at the same time (that of the door is not relevant in this
phase), otherwise it is complicated that can remain in position, since none of
them have any anchor to join laterally and must be glued between the two
adjacent.
Para poder afianzar el encolado entre las paredes, se debe
utilizar gomas elásticas.
In order to secure the glue between the walls,
elastic rubber bands must be used.
Pasado este escollo, absolutamente salvable, de rápida y
fácil solución, el resto del montaje es simple y es una pieza agradecida de
montar.
(Nota mental: La
próxima vez no colocar hasta el final los soportes de las estanterías
interiores, bajo las vitrinas, ya que dificultarán el posterior pintado o
colocación del papel pintado).
After this pitfall, absolutely salvageable,
quick and easy solution, the rest of the assembly is simple and is a grateful
piece to assemble.
(Mental
note: Next time do not place the shelves of the interior shelves until the
end, under the showcases, since they will make the subsequent painting or
placement of the wallpaper difficult).
Con las 4 piezas de las paredes montadas, la pieza esquinera
de la puerta encaja perfectamente.
With the 4
pieces of the walls mounted, the corner piece of the door fits perfectly.
Una vez tenemos la estructura completamente encolada,
debemos tener la previsión de que el techo no encolarlo, ya que de lo contrario
no podremos ni trabajar dentro ni poder usarla después para colocar elementos
de 1/12.
Es más, este techo encaja perfectamente con la moldura que
va alrededor del borde superior, y sobre sale ligeramente por la parte trasera,
por lo que nos permite de forma fácil extraer este techo cuando queramos, y su encaje
para cerrarlo es perfecto.
Once we have the structure completely glued, we
must have the foresight that the roof does not glue it, since otherwise we will
not be able to work inside or be able to use it later to place 1/12 elements.
Moreover, this roof fits perfectly with the
molding that goes around the upper edge, and on it comes out slightly from the
back, so it allows us to easily remove this roof whenever we want, and its lace
to close it is perfect.
Se pinta de blanco todo el exterior y se procede a la colocación
del papel pintado.
Se ha escogido una acorde con la época victoriana o
eduardiana. No es difícil encontrar, pero si escoger, todas son bonitas y de
gran calidad.
Se toman las medidas interiores y se cortan. Se aconseja
realizarlo con cuchilla de modelismo o con un cúter con el corte nuevo, para no
rasgar el papel, ayudados con una regla metálica como guía del corte.
The entire exterior is painted white and the
wallpaper is placed.
A chord with the Victorian or Edwardian era has
been chosen. It is not difficult to find, but if you choose, all are beautiful
and of great quality.
Interior measurements are taken and cut. It is
advisable to do it with a modeling knife or with a cutter with the new cut, so
as not to tear the paper, helped with a metal ruler as a guide for the cut.
Como el papel adquirido es de calidad y no es demasiado
fino, se encolan las paredes con cola blanca rápida, poniendo buena cantidad,
pero sin excesos, ni dejando rastros del pincel con el que se debe aplicar.
As the paper purchased is of quality and is not
too thin, the walls are glued with quick white glue, putting a good amount, but
without excesses, or leaving traces of the brush with which it should be
applied.
El papel se colocará no dejando burbujas de aire. Para ello
es mejor ir colocando el papel mientras se hace pasar una regla.
El hueco de las ventanas se cortarán más tarde, cuando esté
bien seco el papel pintado, así como eliminar el exceso superior del papel.
The paper will be placed leaving no air
bubbles. For this it is better to place the paper while passing a ruler.
The window recess will be cut later, when the
wallpaper is very dry, as well as remove the excess excess paper.
Una vez se ha eliminado el exceso de papel pintado y
practicado los huecos de las vitrinas, que aconsejo realizar con una cuchilla afilada
de modelismo o con un bisturí, se coloca el baldosado del suelo de la tienda.
Once the
excess wallpaper has been removed and the holes in the showcases have been
practiced, which I recommend using a sharp modeling knife or a scalpel, the
floor tiles of the store are placed.
Nosotros quisimos adquirir un papel pintado que imitase un
baldosado, pero nos percatamos que en la puerta hay un escalón entre el marco interior
y la base.
Como este escalón es de 3mm, recurrimos a algo más
laborioso, pero con un resultado muy superior al papel, que son baldosas de barro
cocido, de los utilizados para construcciones juveniles o de arquitectura, que
precisamente tienen esos 3mm de espesor
Lo único que se debe hacer es cubrir con una capa de
imprimación y posteriormente pintar como se desee. En nuestro caso se quiso
hacer un suelo arlequinado en blanco y negro.
We wanted to acquire a wallpaper that mimicked
a tile, but we noticed that there is a step between the interior frame and the
base at the door.
As this step is 3mm, we turn to something more
laborious, but with a result far superior to paper, which are clay tiles, those
used for youth or architectural constructions, which are precisely those 3mm
thick
The only thing to do is cover with a layer of
primer and then paint as desired. In our case we wanted to make a harlequin
floor in black and white.
La siguiente fase es colocar los marcos y los cristales (metacrilato).
Como estos marcos no tienen encajes para su posición, se
deben encolar uno a uno, con paciencia, utilizando sargentos o mordazas para
mantenerlos en su posición mientras se encolan.
The next phase is to place the frames and
crystals (methacrylate).
As these frames have no lace for their
position, they must be glued one by one, patiently, using sergeants or jaws to
keep them in position while they are glued.
En las imágenes que se pueden ver por Internet, otros
aficionados los ha pintado de azul, negro
u otro color llamativo. En nuestro caso se decidió dejarlo en el propio
color madera original, que nos ha parecido que visualmente quedan bien.
In the images that can be seen on the Internet,
other fans have painted them blue, black or other striking color. In our case
it was decided to leave it in the original wood color itself, which we have
found visually look good.
El montaje de la puerta es lo único complejo, pero no
complicado, de todo esta fase.
Para ello iremos encolando cada pieza con sumo cuidado, para
que los cristales no queden manchados..
The assembly of the door is the only complex,
but not complicated, of this whole phase.

care, so that the crystals are not stained.
Pero sobre todo no uséis cianocrilato para enganchar el
marco al cristal, ya que los vapores que produce en pegamento mancharán de por vida
el metacrilato, estropeando el trabajo. Esto ya me paso hace años cuando estaba
montando un casa para un arquitecto, que me obligo casi a empezar desde el
principio.
But above all do not use cyanoacrylate to hook
the frame to the glass, since the vapors that it produces in glue will stain
the methacrylate for life, spoiling the work. This happened to me years ago
when I was setting up a scale house for an architect, which forced me almost to
start from the beginning.
Antes de colocar el marco interior de la puerta, se debe
colocar la moldura superior e inferior, donde se deberá introducir los pivotes
para el giro de las puertas.
También aprovecharemos para colocar el cristal superior.
Before placing the inner frame of the door, the
upper and lower molding must be placed, where the pivots for the rotation of
the doors must be introduced.

upper glass.
Colocado el marco de la puerta, se procede a colocar los
cristales de los escaparates.
Estos sólo se colocarán con cola blanca y en muy poca
cantidad, en los bordes del metacrilato, para asentarlos en su posición.
Hay que tener en cuenta que como el plástico no es poroso,
la cola no actuará al 100% (incluso no creo que llegue ni al 40%), pero nos
permite tenerlos en su posición correcta hasta que coloquemos el marco
interior, que lo fijará definitivamente.
Once the door frame is placed, the windows of
the windows are placed.
These will only be placed with white glue and
in a very small amount, on the edges of methacrylate, to seat them in position.
Keep in mind that since the plastic is not
porous, the glue will not act at 100% (I don't even think it reaches 40%), but
it allows us to have them in their correct position until we place the inner
frame, which will fix it definitely.
Con los cristales colocados en su posición, que encajan tan
bien que no necesitaría pegamento alguno, se procede al montaje de la puerta.
Primero se hace el marco interior y exterior, encolado sobre
el cristal.
Como se ha comentado antes, sólo se coloca con cola blanca y
en muy poca cantidad, ya que el cianocrilato nos manchará toda la pieza.
With the crystals placed in their position,
which fit so well that it would not need any glue, the door is assembled.
First the inner and outer frame is made, glued
on the glass.
As mentioned before, it is only placed with a
white glue and in a very small amount, since the cyanoacrylate will stain the
entire piece.
El cristal de la puerta, de metacrilato, tiene unos pivotes,
uno superior y otro inferior, que tienen como función la de hacer de bisagras, que
los haremos encajar en los huecos del marco superior e inferior de la entrada.
The glass of the door, made of methacrylate,
has pivots, one upper and one lower, whose function is to make hinges, which we
will fit into the gaps of the upper and lower frame of the entrance.
Se comprueba que la puerta cierra y abre perfectamente hacia
dentro.
Sólo le faltan los tiradores en ambas hojas de la puerta,
que ya se colocarán más adelante, cuando se encuentren unos adecuados.
Check that the door closes and opens perfectly
inwards.
Only the handles on both door leaves are
missing, which will be placed later, when appropriate ones are found.
Para encolar los marcos interiores de los escaparates, como
no tendremos apoyos para las mordazas, se colocaran aplicando peso sobre ellos.
Los botes de tierras son perfectos para este trabajo.
To glue the interior frames of the windows, as
we will not have supports for the jaws, they will be placed applying weight on
them.
Land boats are perfect for this job.
Ya tenemos el 90% del montaje de la tienda terminada.
Si añadimos elementos en el interior, ya se puede ver que es
muy perfecta.
We already have 90% of the assembly of the
finished shop.
If we add elements inside, you can already see
that it is very perfect.
Aun a falta de unos detalles exteriores, se aplican unas cortinas
en los cristales superiores, a modo de cenefas de tela, con lo que la sensación
de realismo aún se aumenta.
Even in the absence of exterior details,
curtains are applied to the upper crystals, as a fabric valances, so that the
feeling of realism is still increased.
En esta fase también se añaden los visillos de las puertas
batientes de la entrada.
In this phase the curtains of the swinging
doors of the entrance are also added.
Si rellenamos el interior, comprobamos que está
prácticamente terminado el trabajo.
If we fill the interior, we verify that the
work is practically finished.
Mientras se realiza el trabajo de las cortinas y visillos,
se van pintando en gris, las molduras de las esquinas del edificio.
Y una vez aplicador el correspondiente pincel seco, ya se
pueden colocar en su posición, con cola blanca y fijándolas por medio de los
elásticos usados en el montaje inicial de las paredes.
While the work of the curtains and curtains is
done, the moldings of the corners of the building are painted in gray.
And once the corresponding dry brush is
applied, they can already be placed in position, with white glue and fixed by
means of the elastics used in the initial assembly of the walls.
Ya está terminado el montaje de la tienda esquinera.
The assembly of the corner shop is already

Esta tienda va a ir colocada sobre la parte superior de la
panadería, a modo de tetería en el ático, con terraza para tomar el té, por lo
que aún le falta hacer el suelo de esta terraza, colocar las barandillas y la
escalera para poder acceder.
También se colocará en breve un toldo para proteger del sol al
escaparate principal de la tienda.
El Toldo es uno de los complementos de Irigianls para esta
tienda.
This store is going to be placed on top of the
bakery, as a teahouse in the attic, with a terrace for tea, so you still have
to make the floor of this terrace, place the railings and the stairs to be able
to access.
A canopy will also be placed shortly to protect
the main store window from the sun.
The Awning is one of Irigianls complements for
this store.
